I just made $643 this week working from home for google. I cant believe how easy this is. Im recommending this to everyone, check out this guys google blog makemoneywith-google.com
I am a firm advocater of public transport and carpooling. I really see no reason why i should be spending money on driving lessons and buying a car in such a small city state. I'm also looking forward to organising regular beach clean-ups with my sister Kelly (who is also a member of AFFECT). The one coming up is on 31 Mar, and Kelly will be posting the details soon. ;-)
To lessen stress on the environment, i think we should buy less things and throw away less stuff. I personally feel that having mega-stores in S'pore doesn't auger well for the green movement, because this encourages people to consume more, and inevitably to throw away more so as to make room for new possessions / consumables. I'm always amazed at the furniture that are left at the rubbish collection centres in my neighbourhood. So many things are still in good condition. It's no coincidence that we have huge IKEA and COURTS springing up, and new hypermarkets are on their way...
I guess it's the entire Capitalism mindset at work. To tackle the energy and climate crisis, we also need to shift at the mental model level, that what we have is never enough, and we need more and more things to be happy.
